ABOUT SARAH DOEUR
Sharing our deepest thoughts and emotions can be scary so it is important to find a therapist that is the right fit for you. The therapeutic relationship is the most important aspect of therapy because connection is key to feeling seen and heard. I look forward to walking alongside you in your journey without judgment, without trying to “fix” you, addressing the barriers to meeting your goals, developing a plan together and working with you to become the best version of yourself. I specialize in working with children, pre-adolescents, adolescents, and young adults. I also enjoy working with families to address issues related to family dynamics, parenting and communication as well as addressing issues related to pregnancy and postpartum related struggles. I have extensive experience working with those who have experienced traumatic events, behavioral and emotional disturbances in children and adolescents, addressing issues related to self-esteem, negative thinking, depression, anxiety, managing suicidal ideation, self-injurious behaviors and addressing other high risk behaviors. In sessions, I will use a variety of treatments and therapeutic techniques based on your unique needs including evidenced based practices. Some of these treatments include but not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy for suicide prevention, solution focused therapy, mindfulness based stress reduction, motivational interviewing, safety and crisis planning, harm reduction, and a strengths based approach.
