ABOUT SARAH DODSLEY
Leadership becomes difficult not because of a lack of skill or commitment, but because of the patterns leaders are carrying such as over-responsibility, people-pleasing, reactivity, or a quiet loss of authority under sustained pressure. Many of the leaders I work with are capable, conscientious and values-driven. Day to day, they are navigating complexity, competing demands and ethical tension, often while holding more responsibility than is sustainable. Over time, this can show up as fatigue, blurred boundaries, or a sense of being at odds with how they want to lead.My work supports leaders to work with the deeper patterns and belief systems that shape how they relate to responsibility, power and authority. This creates space to move out of over-functioning and reactivity, and into leadership that is grounded, boundaried and sustainable over time.I am a Leadership Coach and EMCC Senior Practitioner, bringing a systems-aware, trauma-informed and reflective approach. I am particularly interested in how culture, power and identity influence leadership behaviour, and in supporting leaders to lead in ways that are aligned with their values rather than in conflict with them.Alongside 1:1 leadership coaching, I facilitate leadership development spaces and contribute to coach training.I typically work with:• Senior leaders and founders• Leaders navigating growth, change or increased responsibility• Organisations seeking ethical, inclusive and sustainable leadership culturesIf you are a leader or an organisation and you are looking for thoughtful, grounded leadership support, you’re welcome to get in touch.
