Since I was little, I’ve felt that beauty should carry meaning. When I was 9, I met with the head of my hometown’s equivalent of the MTA and convinced him to make the subway pass reusable and rechargeable. It was a small gesture, but it taught me something lasting: the right idea, no matter how small, can lead to meaningful change.
