The Girl Innovation, Research & Learning Center (GIRL Center) at the Population Council is a world-class center for research and analysis, providing key evidence for policies, programs, and practices to transform the lives of adolescents living in low- and middle-income countries. As Manager of the GIRL Center, my responsibilities include:• Operationalize the GIRL Center’s strategy including partnership development, research impact, and fundraising• Provide oversight and general day-to-day management of the GIRL Center portfolio, which consists of at least 5 projects at any given time• Develop and track project work plans, staffing plans, and budgets and ensure adherence to internal and external timelines as well as contractual requirements• Develop and manage effective and efficient processes for quality assurance, knowledge management, and proposal development• Draft and deploy RFPs for subcontractors, review proposals, select final candidates, and manage subcontractors• Serve as the point of contact between the GIRL Center and other internal departments to ensure effective and efficient program management and communications• Contribute to research projects and donor strategy documents• Lead Product Designer and Manager for the Adolescent Atlas for Action (https://a3.popcouncil.org/) and the Adolescent Data Hub (https://adh.popcouncil.org/)• Supervise junior staff and the GIRL Center Internship program (interested in working for us? email me at s••••••••@popcouncil.org)
