I am currently responsible for planning, facilitating and assessing the online learning of classes of up to 30 learners working remotely across the country. With a range of needs, goals, and abilities/limitations to consider, I diversify my teaching and assessment to suit the individuals within the group, delivering engaging and interactive sessions on IT, digital skills and more. As part of my role I not only teach the curriculum but I also assess and provide customised feedback on assessments (verbal, written, simulated), and support any additional learning needs as part of this. I encourage a lively and positive classroom, whilst all working towards the goal of achieving their desired qualification.Current modules I am teaching: cybersecurity, computer programming (Python), social media marketing, digital graphics, training, data management, spreadsheet software, IT technical support, networking, and career progression.

ABOUT SARAH BURNS
As an adult course/apprenticeship trainer, I’m all about helping students build the IT and digital skills they need to thrive. Right now, I’m teaching ASF students in IT & Digital Skills for Just IT, delivering remote training that focuses on creating a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment. I use a mix of teaching styles and assessment methods to make sure every student feels comfortable and motivated to learn. With my AET Level 3 qualification and 15 years of industry experience in digital marketing, web design, and branding, I bring a hands-on, real-world approach to my training. I believe learning should be fun and practical, helping students feel confident with tools like Microsoft, Cisco, Python coding, and more, to start or grow their careers.
