ABOUT SARAH BOUARABA
PhD researcher in NLP and IR at the LIG Lab of Grenoble Alpes University, working within the MRIM and GETALP teams, under the supervision of Prof. Lorraine Goeuriot, Prof. Didier Schwab, and Prof. Philippe Mulhem. My research is part of the AI & Language Chair (MIAI Cluster), where I focus on developing better ways for Clinical Large Language Models to retrieve and use medical information.What guides my work is simple: I believe AI should serve people.In healthcare especially, the stakes are human. A model is not just a system, it can influence decisions, care, and lives. So I explore how to design models that are thoughtful rather than just powerful, helpful rather than just impressive. Models that respect the complexity of clinical data and the responsibility of those who use it.I am passionate about research not because I seek answers, but because I love the process of discovery, questioning, refining, understanding, and growing alongside others.
