Growing up, I seemed to always be thinking two steps ahead in life. Not only did I know exactly what I wanted, but while others would be fixated on the destination, I was mapping the course to get there. Step one - Degree. Step two - Secure Career. With a degree in hand from the University of Utah, I started a career in project management that quickly took off. I made money for my company, increased its profits, assembled top-notch teams, and oversaw the smooth transition of massive mergers and acquisitions. I knew that if I could help a company manage and grow more than $90 billion in assets as a PM, I could help others to do the same in a higher leadership role. Step three - Take Career Risks.Step four - C-Suite.If I was going to take a risk with my career, my passion and educational background in sociology were going to influence my next move. I would focus on people, communities, non-profits, and small-to-enterprise businesses to identify and connect them to the resources they need to solve their problems and achieve their goals - all while making a positive impact. Step five - Help Build Companies, Strengthen Economies, and Create Lasting Social Impact.Step six - Accomplish this by Joining LSI.There is a 50+ year legacy at LSI of winning and helping clients solve their most complex business and funding problems, so they can, in turn, bring economic well-being to their communities - I wanted to be a leading part of it. This goal started as a dream position as Chief Technology and Operations Officer, then became an even more exciting opportunity to take the helm as the President and CEO after just two years. Now, I\'m leading LSI into a new era that continues this honored tradition of connecting our clients with solutions, while we focus on new growth and opportunities for LSI and the businesses we serve. I’m topping it all off too with a relentless pursuit of excellence that makes me, me.Step seven - Live a little too.Step eight - Sleep under the stars every once in a while. Raising a family and working full-time means I don\'t often have much time remaining to enjoy my hobbies. Beyond contemporary dance through college, I also coached high school dance teams for 13 years and judged local dance competitions that I still cheer on from the sidelines whenever I can. Now, however, I spend most of my downtime reading, cold plunging;) and doing Pilates, as well as going on summer camping and travelling adventures with my family.
