Hired to be responsible for providing health and safety support for the Pickering Nuclear Refurbishment project at Ontario Power Generation, supporting project teams with compliance, risk management, and incident prevention- Deliver health and safety guidance within a nuclear power generation environment, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational safety- Support the Pickering Refurbishment project through participation in field walkdowns and COMS (Constructability, Maintainability, Operability, and Safety) meetings- Advise and assist management and supervisors in implementing safe work practices and health & safety programs, ensuring ongoing compliance with OH & S legislation, standards, and policies- Lead and contribute to incident and injury investigations, utilizing Human Performance Tools, TRIF, and the GDAR (Gap, Drivers, Actions, Results) framework to identify root causes and implement preventative measures- Analyze and monitor safety trends using PowerBI and the Trending Prevention and Intervention Performance Area Process, providing actionable, data-driven insights for proactive safety management- Maintain accurate safety records and metrics through systems such as Mycority, iConnect, MyEHS, and Asset Suite 9, supporting effective safety program administration- Provide H&S expertise throughout project planning and execution, including contracting strategy, owner/constructor determinations, and technical evaluations- Lead and participate in safety audits, assessments, and evaluations of both internal operations and contractor programs, leveraging findings to drive safety performance improvements.
