Sarah Alim successfully leads the business operations for a managed services firm in her role as Director of Finance and Operations. She has proven success leading business operations ranging from people operations and financial operations to ensuring consistent strategic direction across the firm. She has extensive experience in leading strategic planning across executive leadership and internal departments, ensuring leadership alignment throughout both the planning process and execution of strategy. She spearheads and leads the company’s planning cycles to effectively set goals through the development of Objectives and Key Results for the firm. She is also responsible for financial management and forecasting across the firm - her process improvements in this area have led to a reenvisioned accounts payable and accounts receivable process, as well as a streamlined contracts review process. Prior to her role in Operations, Sarah spent a decade in Management Consulting focused on process improvement management, strategic planning, and IT policy analysis. She has led multiple high-profile Federal CIO initiatives of varying complexity, mainly focusing on IT Modernization issues in the federal space. Her rigorous policy analysis contributed to the concept and development of the Cloud Smart strategy and the Data Center Optimization Initiative’s OMB Memo M-16-19 and M-19-19. She has helped establish multiple Program Offices within Federal agencies, where she provided expertise and oversight over portfolio level initiatives, including creating a centralized communications function across the program, instituting standard operating procedures, and developing portfolio level project management tools.
