As Head of Research, Development & Innovation Technology Operations, I work closely with the CTO, Head of Academic Engagement and Technology Portfolio Directors across Emerging Technologies (IoT, Quantum, Photonics), Future Networks and Digital Infrastructure and Creative Technologies (Immersive and Advanced AI), establishing and operationalising this important new function within Digital Catapult, which serves as a cornerstone for the organisation’s long-term strategy. Central to my role is leading the development and delivery of the Technology Roadmap, informed by the technical expertise within the team, providing the structure and foresight that underpin wider organisational planning and strategic decision-making. I work across diverse technology domains, enabling prioritisation, coherence, and alignment with the strategic research plan, innovation activities, external engagement and business goals. Building on my foresighting expertise, I translate emerging technology insights into actionable strategy, fostering collaboration with government, industry, and academia. I seek to strengthen operational effectiveness by shaping robust processes, reporting, and governance, ensuring that the RD & I function supports innovation at scale and creates a strong platform for future growth.
