1. Board President

   Shoreline School District

   Dec 2024 — Present

   As Board President, I guide and support the work of the board through- Collaborating with the Board Vice President and Superintendent on moving the work of the board and district forward through board meeting agendas and activities- Being the primary point of contact for the board; replying to public inquiries and requests- Establishing and maintaining government to government relations with our tribal partners- Building relationships and establishing a regular schedule of convenings with fellow local public office leaders for the cities of Shoreline and Lake Forest Park- Supporting fellow board members in having the resources needed to be fully informed and prepared for each meeting and vote- Convening and facilitation of an annual board retreat for board improvement and goal setting- Meeting with district leadership to support improved lines of communication and collaboration on monitoring our strategic plan implementation and student outcomes- Ensuring our fiduciary and legal obligations are being upheld through required presentations and votes- Setting the annual goals for the Superintendent and conducting her annual evaluation/contract negotiation.
