About Sara Aridi

I\'m an editor and writer at The New York Times. As part of the Early Careers team, I explore ways The School of The New York Times can teach journalism fundamentals and the importance of independence to high school students.I joined The Times in 2016 and spent three years on the Culture desk. I went on to become a supervising editor on the Home team before moving to the Early Careers team. Over the years I\'ve covered film, television, travel, photography and more. I\'m Lebanese-American, so I\'m also interested in covering Middle Eastern culture and the diaspora. I have taught at The School of The New York Times and Columbia University, and I\'m currently on the board of the Arab and Middle Eastern Journalists Association. Before joining The Times, I worked at news agencies and magazines in Boston, New York, Dubai and Lebanon.
