Throughout my career, I’ve worked as a champion of transformation to the business. I am firmly committed to promoting a leading edge, inclusive, efficient, effective and sustainable business model. You could say that I’m a “fix it” or “build it” person who exercises a collaborative and deliberate approach to the execution of internal controls. My goals are always to lead a solid sustainability function that is focused on strategic value and built with scalable processes for transition to the “continued leader”—a member of my team whom I have built up to replace me to ensure seamless succession for the company. Diversity and inclusion are also core to who I am in breeding growth around me in an organization. A strong audit and risk leader should function beyond the audit or systems—success is all about the governance of an execution model for enterprise-level operations, setting standards for the future of the company as well as the future of the industry. I strive to guide my firm into unchartered territory with new concepts and just enough guidance to help them achieve top results while establishing best practices for Sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance). I am a HUGE strategic partner to the business—the “go-to” person in assessing transformation for sustainable management, firm growth, technological solutions, risk appreciate and resource allocation. I establish internal controls and the corporate enterprise risk function with fundamental practices that infuse into the business culture with a solid framework for execution. I also collaborate with industry peers to ensure we are maintaining a value-add and managing the emerging risks within the industry through a comprehensive audit program. This holistic approach helps to build a culture that serves as a prime example to the industry regarding corporate accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
