About Sara T.
Sara is a globally experienced technical geophysicist. She graduated from The University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK with a Masters of Science degree in Geophysics in 2004. Her Master\'s thesis entitled,\"Sand Thickness Estimation using Spectral Decomposition\"(with advisor John Castagna) explores topics still of great interest to seismic attribute analysis. Sara has worked in multiple basins around the globe including: Gulf of Mexico shelf and deepwater, Angola offshore and Australia\'s Carnarvon basin. Her roles have been quite varied from development to exploration geophysics, seismic depth migration processing to seismic interpretation and attribute analysis, and prospect maturation to drilling and petrophysical analysis. Her accomplishments include: A ~1 TCF prospect matured up to drill ready status, Delivering Chevron\'s first Broadband 3D depth migration in Australia for interpretation and following it up with prospect maturation and technical reviews, successfully reducing time and cost in seismic processing workflow while Lean Sigma project leader, providing geophysical products and analysis allowing for re-development of Eugene Island 338 after Hurricane Rita destroyed the platforms, and mentoring several less experienced geoscientists who have gone on to successful careers.Sara is a passionate and enthusiastic scientist. Admittedly a little excitable, she can make just about everyone enjoy petroleum geophysics for a few minutes at least!
