ABOUT SARA SNOW

Sara is a Gemini and Leo award winning writer who has written and produced drama, comedy, and youth series. She is currently Co-Executive Producer on the third season of the Great American Family Channel series When Hope Calls for MPCA. Sara recently finished a Christmas movie commissioned by MPCA and is currently developing a Christmas movie with Nicholas Carella, writing a female driven thriller funded by the CMF Early Development Fund, and working on a YA time travel movie. Previous credits include Co-Executive Producer on Seasons 1 and 2 of When Hope Calls, consulting producer/writer on CBC’s Arctic Air, supervising producer and head writer on the first season of the hit CBC comedy, Mr. D, and executive producer and showrunner on Degrassi: The Next Generation, as well as co-writer and executive producer on the tv movie, Degrassi Goes Hollywood, consulting producer/writer for five seasons of Global’s award winning youth series renegadepress.com, and writer for four seasons on CBC’s youth series, Edgemont. Sara has worked extensively in development – both in collaboration with producers and as a comedy network executive at the CBC. Unscripted credits include the Lark Productions/ CTV series, Farming For Love, as well as Lark\'s Paramedics: Life on the Line, Life and Death at VGH, The Real Housewives of Toronto, Paperny/CBC’s This Is High School, and Tyson Media/Discovery’s Pets and Pickers. Before working in film and television Sara wrote and performed in French and English theatre and taught theatre and literature at various universities in Canada and the United States. She has a Ph.D. in Performance Studies from Northwestern University where she studied adaptation with Frank Galati. Sara is a mentor with the Rogers Black Screen Office Script Development program and with the WIFV From Our Dark Side program and enjoys working with emerging writers. She is represented by Perry Zimel and Stefan Hogan at OAZ.
