Help patients with Activities of daily living such as bathing, eating, walking, etc; clean rooms, beds, and help keep patient hygiene; take vital signs and perform blood glucose checks daily; Help nurses with hourly rounding and making sure patient\'s avoid any hospital accquired infections or pressure ulcers by maintaining cleanliness and ensuring patients who are prone to skin breakdown are turned every two hours; help staffing by floating to other floors including Psych and ICU; in July I joined the Skin, Wound, Assesment and Treatment (SWAT) team to act as the Nursing Assistant Representative in order to help raise awareness of skin breakdown and other injuries related to skin on the floor.
