ABOUT SARA PRUNEDA

I am an Emerald Eagle scholar and honors college student searching for a full-time opportunity to educate, amplify, and represent my North Texas community members. By double-majoring in English with a concentration in Rhetoric, Urban Planning and Policy, and minoring in Spanish, I hope to prepare myself for a future in civic service.My work experience consists of educating others. Ranging from elementary-aged children to undergraduate students, I have experience in multiple roles instructing students on how to read, write, and think critically. As a UNT Writing Center Tutor, I collaborate with other students to improve their writing and critical thinking skills. My seasonal job as an Elm Fork teacher allows me to create meaningful connections with young children through art, science, and a range of extracurricular activities. Not only do I teach at Elm Fork, I also run a freelance tutoring program specializing in college admission preparation. I also hold a seasonal position with Pioneer Academics that allows me to engage with high-excelling students from all over the world and help improve their peer-reviewed research projects with the goal of being published and admitted to the nation\'s top institutions. Most recently, I\'ve begun an internship role in Planning and Development with the City of Dallas. At the core of my being, I enjoy mentoring, teaching, and watching communities grow.
