I’m a science journalist based in South Carolina. I\'m a contributing writer to Discover Magazine. My work also appears in Scientific American, The New York Times, National Geographic, Sierra Magazine, New Scientist, and many more. I was a parenting columnist at The Post and Courier and managing editor of The Post and Courier’s parenting magazine, Lowcountry Parent. Before that, I wrote for Discovery Communications from 20••••13. Prior to my work with Discovery Communications, I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the Grady School of Journalism at the University of Georgia. I also have a master’s degree in science writing from Johns Hopkins University.
