ABOUT SARA MITCHELL

As an evaluator and researcher, my job is to produce rigorous and evidence-based results. I love the challenge of developing instruments that will capture the richest data possible; the privilege of engaging with study and evaluation participants, be it in focus groups, interviews, or roundtables; the thrill of meticulously analyzing data and integrating lines of evidence; and, presenting results in an accessible and useful manner. I have used these skills to design and implement projects in a diversity of areas, largely focusing on social policies (e.g, education, employment, and housing), as well as work on Francophone communities in a minority context. I’ve contributed to evaluations for provincial and federal organizations, including evaluations of policies, grants and contributions programs, and community-based support programs. I’m happy to connect to talk evaluation and applied research. I’m also open to receiving tips on how to improve my Scrabble score.
