ABOUT SARA MANORE PHILLIPS
I’m a Drug Discovery Scientist at the Warren Center for Neuroscience Drug Discovery with 7+ years of experience spanning molecular biology, cancer research, neuroscience, and early-stage drug development. My background includes a PhD in Pharmacology from Wake Forest University, where I focused on preclinical therapeutics and contributed to a Phase I clinical trial.Throughout my academic and industry experience, I’ve led projects across both in vitro and in vivo platforms, co-authored 12+ peer-reviewed publications, and driven research efforts exploring cancer biology and novel treatment strategies. After spending time in business development at A1 BioChem Labs partnering with scientists, biotech founders, and pharma teams to design custom chemistry solutions, I’ve since pivoted back to my scientific roots. I bring a unique combination of bench expertise and collaborative, solution-oriented communication. In my current role, I’m excited to contribute to discovery stage programs and continue learning as I work to advance therapeutics.
