The utility tool is a passion of mine, automating away tedium to free up folks to change the world for the better and pursue their passions with limited room for error.Work can be made frictionless and fast. It\'s the *can* part that I care about, which is why QA is so important to development. Someone needs to look out for the user (and the fellow practitioner!) experience from end to end which is what this role is ultimately all about.(As a hobby, I\'m also a risk-averse risk-taker, who loves to explore remote wilderness with the help of technology.)I became interested in software when I realized I could put a survey online for my graduate school coordinator at Northwestern University. When I joined Idealist.org, similar people put their needs online to find great job candidates and volunteers, and a buggy website was the last thing they needed. Jama Software provides a complex platform for folks making really complex machinery and programs; those creators, reviewers and testers need streamlined user flows and extremely tight data integrity needs.
