Lead Tennessee\'s K-12 policy-making body in making student-centered decisions to accelerate student learning. Our 10-member, governor-appointed board is responsible for setting rules and polies governing everything from education preparation to academic standards, early childhood requirements to HS graduation requirements, school bus safety to school nutrition guidelines, educator evaluation and supports to state, district and school accountability systems. Our legal team oversees all educator licensure discipline for the state of TN. We also recently transitioned from an appellate charter authorizer and LEA into the role of bi-annual evaluations of all charter authorizers.
