Sara Fray is an American author. Her Middle Grade nonfiction SEVEN VOYAGES (Macmillan) was a Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Selection and received a Booklist starred review. Her Young Adult adaptation of MAGELLAN (Macmillan) was a selection of the Junior Library Guild. She was born and raised in New York City, and is a graduate of Columbia University. She was an A&R executive before becoming a historical researcher and contributing editor of a New York Times Editors\' Choice. Fray is a member of The Copyright Society, The Authors Guild, and SCBWI. She is married to American Singer-songwriter, Musician, and Record Producer Mark Fray. The Frays live in New York with their daughter and Great Danes.
