About Sara Corbett

Freshman at the University of Notre Dame extremely passionate in criminal justice reform and human rights issues in the United States. Has worked with various nonprofits to address these institutional problems within the system. Interned at Death Penalty Action advocating for the abolition of the death penalty as well as being selected as a social justice fellow at Operation Understanding DC. Worked to stop wrongful convictions before they happen with AppCounsel. Currently working to abolish prison slavery in the United States with Abolish Slavery National Network.Majoring in Peace Studies and Philosophy at the University of Notre Dame with a minor in Poverty Studies. I intend to build my career as a legal advocate for criminal justice reform and the restoration of human rights for all.

1. Research and Policy Analyst

   Notre Dame Student Policy Network

   Feb 2026 — Present

   I am working on the Incarceration Rights Project of the Notre Dame Student Policy Network. In this role, I will be conducting research on policies related to solitary confinement and how this practice, as a function of policy, causes harm to incarcerated individuals. Eventually, I and my fellow team members will present to PACE Indiana with a deliverable that could be used for advocacy efforts for criminal justice reform.
