ABOUT SARA CIABATTONI

I combine an academic background in adult learning, foreign languages, and international relations, with over 10 years of professional experience in teaching, educational management, and research. I am passionate about education, and I am driven to help institutions and individuals alike unlock their full learning potential.My innovative approach to education has been recognized internationally. I am proud to have been acknowledged as a Teach SDGs Ambassador for my work in incorporating the SDGs into language education. Furthermore, my curriculum development efforts have been selected as a case study for the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network guide on \'Accelerating Education for the SDGs in Universities,\' showcasing best practices for integrating sustainable development into higher education.I have also had the privilege of sharing my pedagogical approaches and insights at prestigious events, including the International Conference on Sustainable Development, and the World Sustainable Development Teach-in Day.In response to the challenges posed by the pandemic, I have adapted my expertise to the digital realm. Leveraging my knowledge of digital learning tools and strategies, I have been actively involved in designing and implementing effective online learning experiences that engage and empower learners.As the Program Coordinator at OPIT - Open Institute of Technology, I oversee the coordination of BSc and MSc programs, ensuring students receive the necessary support to thrive in their academic journeys. I am always eager to collaborate with like-minded institutions, organizations, and individuals committed to education, social justice, and sustainable development, driven by a shared vision of empowering learners and fostering positive societal change.
