ABOUT SARA ARROYAVE SOTO

I am a senior at the University of South Florida pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Environmental Science and Policy. My interests lie at the intersection of sustainable design, energy systems, and advanced manufacturing, where I’m motivated by creating efficient and environmentally responsible solutions.I’ve gained industry experience through internships at GE Vernova, where I focused on manufacturing engineering and process optimization for renewable energy systems, and GE Aerospace, where I worked on the design, test, and manufacturing integration of military fighter jet and helicopter engines.On campus, I contribute to research in the Thermofluids Discovery Lab, which advances studies in fluid mechanics and thermal transport for energy and aerospace applications using both computational and experimental methods.Beyond engineering, I’m passionate about wellness and creativity. I’m a certified yoga instructor, an oil portrait artist, and an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys climbing, surfing, and hiking.I’m always eager to connect with others who share an interest in clean energy, sustainable technology, and innovative design.
