Production Accounting: Verifying and reconciling plant site production by product • Asset Management: Working closely with the Project Engineering team on Capital Projects and all asset accounting treatments and working with the Corporate Tax Operations team for property tax assessment reports and updates.• Period End Closes: Completing all work required to close the month-end on a timely basis, with added emphasis for quarter-end tasks and reviews.Accounting Controls:• Inventory verifications of physical assets, raw materials and finished product inventory • Uphold or identify and implement required internal controls • Complete quarterly plant certifications • Work with internal and external auditors to answer questions.• Accounting Treatments: Responsible for identifying the correct accounting treatments for day-to-day transactions to complex contracts and special projects. • Ensure all SOX controls, policy and guidelines are adhered to with accounting treatments.• Continuous Improvement: Look for new ways to add value and improve processes through automation. Participate and/or lead improvement projects. Participate in policy alignment initiatives and implementation of special projects.
