Developed a compliance programme including effective training and education, implementing written policies and procedures, developing effective lines of communication, conducting internal monitoring and assessments- Company Secretary for UK, Ireland, US and Puerto Rico entities- Responding promptly to detected problems and undertaking corrective actions- Acted in an advisory capacity to key stakeholders and senior management on all matters relating to compliance and ethics including how to improve our Compliance Culture – setting the tone at the top, best practices and reporting to the Risk and Governance Committee- Designed and implemented required specific compliance processes for example third party risk management, gifts and hospitality, ethics code etc. Including approval of all new third parties and creation of these third parties in our bank- An integral part of the M&A team on the sale of the Division and the sales of the Indian entity- Led the sale of our Indian entity – liaising with internal and external stakeholder, external lawyers etc- Liaise with outside counsel in various jurisdictions on topics such as Trademarks, Patents, legal action etc and Manage relationships with external compliance software providers- An integral member of the Division providing valuable compliance support, guidance and training and being the first point of contact for all compliance and ethics related queries/issues.
