   Positive Athlete (+A) was has been providing recognition and leadership development resources for thousands of high school student athletes since 2011. Initially launched in Western Pennsylvania and Georgia, the program rolled out nationally on January 1, 2025, and nominations were received from all 50 states, and over 3,400 high schools. The mission is to make a significant positive cultural impact on their teams, schools, families and communities. The vision is to build the nation’s largest and most prestigious leadership development and recognition program for high school student athletes in the world, creating impact and value for families, schools, communities, and strategic business partners.+A celebrates high school athletes who have overcome difficult circumstances, given back to their schools and communities in a significant way, or just have an infectious positive attitude that makes everyone around them a better person. This free program to schools celebrates their athletes with awards, corporately sponsored scholarships, and mentorship/internship opportunities. To date, high school student athletes have been nominated by coaches, parents, teachers, family members, and fans, and over in scholarships have been awarded. Replication of the Georgia program will also happen in New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago, Denver, Detroit and Washington DC. This will create a network of high character, qualified individuals. Additionally,+A consists of a companion character education app that features 300, 2-5 minute videos of modern day heroes discussing core principles. The multi-faceted app appeals to today’s athletes where they engage content. National expansion of the program allows Positive Athlete to provide an additional in college scholarships annually into the program each year. Denver Broncos and University of Georgia Hall of Fame cornerback Champ Bailey serves as a spokesperson for Positive Athlete.
