About Sao Aphisith Sithisack
Billions of transistors fit on a chip the size of a fingernail, and I want to understand every layer of how they get there.I am an Electrical Engineering student at the University of Oklahoma focused on VLSI and IC design, semiconductor nanofabrication, and the physics that govern devices at the nanoscale. At the Center for Quantum Research and Technology (CQRT), I work hands-on in cleanroom environments to execute photolithography (including resist coating, UV exposure, and developing), reactive ion etching, and pulsed laser deposition to fabricate and evaluate micro and nanoscale structures of functional oxide thin films.Beyond the cleanroom, I specialize in CMOS transistor-level analysis and circuit simulation to bridge the gap between process engineering and hardware design. I am particularly interested in the intersection of AI and hardware, specifically in automated defect inspection, AI-assisted circuit optimization, and simulation acceleration through machine learning. As the semiconductor industry enters a new era of complexity, I believe engineers who understand both the silicon and the algorithms will define what comes next.I am actively seeking internships and research opportunities in IC design, semiconductor process engineering, and hardware R&D.
