After witnessing the struggles and difficulties faced by his students\' families during the pandemic, Santosh was compelled to solve for the lack of financial literacy in India. Thus, Svatah (Self-reliance in Sanskrit) took shape as the aftermath of the pandemic lockdown. Since then, Svatah and Santosh have been working to understand the effective methods of providing financial education to students and women, with the goal of empowering them to achieve financial stability and improve their quality of life.
