My key responsibilities include: Branch Audit & Compliance:Conducting comprehensive branch audits (regular and surprise) to ensure adherence to internal policies, operational processes, and regulatory norms (RBI, NBFC-MFI guidelines).Evaluating field-level operations including loan disbursement, collection practices, center meetings, and client verification. Fraud & Risk Assessment:Detecting operational frauds, misappropriations, policy violations, and reporting them promptly with recommended actions.Performing risk-based audits focusing on branches with higher operational risk or poor performance indicators. Process Improvement & Control:Identifying process gaps, weaknesses, or inefficiencies and suggesting corrective measures to mitigate financial and reputational risks.Ensuring implementation of audit recommendations and follow-ups on non-compliance cases. Training & Capacity Building:Guiding and mentoring branch staff on operational compliance, documentation accuracy, and best practices.Providing feedback to the zonal/area office on the capacity development needs of staff based on audit observations. Reporting & Documentation:Preparing audit reports in prescribed formats and sharing timely with senior audit managers, Zonal Heads, and the HO Audit Team.Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation for all audits conducted, including working papers and evidence.
