ABOUT SANTINO V. MORENA

I am a finance and accounting graduate from the University of Iowa, passionate in working in the realms of professional services, and have a continued passion in giving my time and energy to mentor students from my alma mater. Currently, I am an Associate Director at MorrisAnderson, a part of JS Held. My focus is on turnarounds and restructuring. I have experience in Chapter 11 bankruptcies, receiverships, operational and financial assessments, debtor and creditor financial advisory, and liquidating trusts. Prior to joining MorrisAnderson, I worked as a financial due diligence specialist at Accenture, where I played a crucial role on their corporate development team. I was responsible for analyzing and assessing the financial health and viability of companies our buy-side transactions. I worked closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and HR to conduct comprehensive financial analyses to evaluate the target company\'s financial performance, risks, and opportunities. I was responsible for meticulously examining financial statements, conducting ratio analysis, assessing the quality of earnings and negotiating net working capital. I also had the opportunity to work closely with acquisition target(s) management team to better understand target\'s financial trends, processes and alignment to our strategic priorities.Prior to joining Accenture and pursuing my interest in M&A, I worked in client services at EY as a Tax Senior within the Financial Services Organization. My clients consisted of some of the largest banks and broker dealers in the United States. I conducted quarterly and year-end tax provision audits and gained extensive experience in navigating the intricacies of tax compliance in the financial sector. My ambition is to continue my professional development by capitalizing on my analytical capabilities, varying industry exposure, and leadership experience. I have an unwavering passion for professional services industry and a deep desire to learn from seasoned professionals and subject matter experts, with an additional interest in mentoring students and professionals early in their career.
