Current company Louis M. Martini Winery
Beverage Manufacturing · 18 employees · Founded 1933 · Saint Helena, California, United States
Founded in 1933, Louis M. Martini is one of Napa Valley’s original Cabernet Sauvignon houses, recognized for nearly a century of craftsmanship, mountain-grown fruit, and age-worthy wines.
From the beginning, founder Louis M. Martini believed Napa Valley held extraordinary potential for Cabernet Sauvignon. That conviction helped shape the winery’s identity and established an enduring legacy built on precision, patience, and a deep respect for place.
Central to that story is Monte Rosso Vineyard, an estate property since 1938 in the Mayacamas Mountains. Known for its striking red volcanic soil and high-elevation vineyards, Monte Rosso remains one of California’s most revered sites for Cabernet Sauvignon, with select vines dating to the 1940s. Its fruit continues to define some of Louis M. Martini’s most acclaimed wines.
Today, Winemaker Zach Watkins carries that legacy forward, crafting luxury Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon with an emphasis on structure, depth, and vineyard expression. His work reflects the winery’s long-standing commitment to sourcing from distinguished sites and producing wines with both immediate appeal and lasting cellar potential.
Located in St. Helena, the historic Louis M. Martini winery has been thoughtfully restored to offer elevated tasting and culinary experiences that bring guests closer to the winery’s heritage, hospitality, and signature style. Every bottle and every visit are rooted in a simple belief: great wine is meant to be shared.
Louis M. Martini continues to define luxury wine in Napa Valley through iconic Cabernet Sauvignon, landmark vineyard sourcing, and a winemaking tradition built to endure. We’ve spent nearly a century crafting wines with character, generosity, and staying power. Wines worth opening, sharing, and passing forward.
