ABOUT SANTHANA PANDIAN

Hi, I am Santhana Pandian, an aspiring techno manager and civil engineer. Growing up around construction background, my father as a civil engineer in government, I was drawn to construction industry before my under graduation. Driven by my own interest, i have completed my B.E in Civil engineering from Velammal college of engineering and technology, Madurai, Tamilnadu. I would spent my free time observing, exploring and analysing things in this field which makes this career exiciting. I am, seeking a career that is challenging and interesting, and lets me work on the leading areas of technology, a job that gives me opportunities to learn, innovate and enhance my skills and strengths in conjunction with company goals and objectives. As a under graduate : Me and my team has constructed a model \" Low cost Individual Toilet under Swachh Bharat Scheme \"(LIT) in our college campus within 24 hours using prefabrication technique. This act was appreciated by our district collector and he asked our team to construct 12 more toilets in a village near our college. I am also an active student member of Indian Institute of Concrete (ICI). I have also designed a car parking and analysed it through stadd pro for my design project. For my final year thesis, i have made a detailed study on replacement of fine aggregates in concrete solid blocks with industrial wastes for a sustainable future. I am an active social member and also worked as a NSS leader and co-ordinator for my college. I also had a chance to become a captain my college tennis and won runner up in district zonals. In NICMAR, i am one of the mentors of college startup club. As a professional : I had chances to do intern with Tamilnadu Highway Department at Theni, helping me to have more insight about the ground reality and challeges faced during construction of hilly roads over summer 2017. In addition to the construction sector, some of my areas of interest are: 1.Finance 2.Investing 3.Technology 4.Photography and art. I am interested to work in areas of heavy infrastructure and high rise residential real estate projects, where planning plays an important role.
