Sanjib Sanghi is a seasoned Chartered Accountant with over 28 years of professional experience in practice, digital transformation and capacity building. A partner at S N Banerjea & Co, he is currently serving as a Central Council Member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for the 2025–29 term.Known for his strategic foresight and innovative mindset, Sanjib is committed to elevating global standards within the profession and empowering CAs to go global.At ICAI, he serves as the Convenor of the Global Trade and Services Directorate, where he is driving initiatives to position India as a global powerhouse in trade, services, and GCCs. His work focuses on promoting international trade integration, fostering global collaboration, and strengthening the GCC ecosystem. He also serves as the Convenor of the Continuing Professional Education Directorate and Vice Chairman of the Sustainability Reporting Standards Board, contributing to future-ready professional learning and sustainability governance aligned with global standards.In his impactful tenure as Chairman of the Eastern India Regional Council of ICAI (2024–25), Sanjib led several transformative initiatives such as “Udaan – Celebrating Womanhood,” showcasing stories of 75 unsung heroines; “Voice of Diamonds”, honoring senior CA members; and the example setter “Run@75: Reskill | Upskill | Newskill,” a 75-day virtual learning marathon on 75 on-demand topics. He also launched the “Best Practices for SMPs,” a digital repository for practitioners, and successfully hosted the 49th Regional Conference of EIRC of ICAI, setting new records in participation, engagement and experience.Sanjib is also deeply engaged in the wider professional and social ecosystem. Beyond the profession, he plays a key role in various organizations, serving as President of the BBD BAG Professional Association; Co-Chairman (Information Technology) of the Merchants\' Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI); Honorary Secretary of the Accountants’ Library; Charter Member of TiE Kolkata; Trustee of Maharaja Agrasen Hospital, Siliguri; and Cabinet Member of Lions Clubs International. He has also co-authored books on digital transformation and MSME growth, continuing to champion innovation, global collaboration, and professional excellence.Sanjib’s vision for ICAI focuses on enhancing digital infrastructure, aligning education with global standards, expanding corporate collaborations, and strengthening ICAI’s global presence in financial regulation and industry growth.
