An experienced digital transformation and risk management expert with nearly 20 years experience in designing and implementing complex, transformational changes by leveraging data analytics, AI and ML. More than 30 years of professional experience of working in Ministry of Finance, Government of India.From 2005 to 2012, operationalized Financial Intelligence Unit - India (FIU-IND) and implemented Project FINnet which is a state of the art IT system for collection, analysis and exchange of financial information. Developed the FIU Information System Maturity Model (FISMM) which is the international standard adopted by the Egmont Group of FIUs and UNODC. From 2012 to 2021, set up the integrated analytics and risk management platform (Insight) for the Income Tax Department, India. Developed the new Annual Information Statement (AIS), Non-filer monitoring and compliance management system. Substantially enhanced the Scrutiny Selection (CASS) and Tax collection (TIN) system for Income Tax Department, India. Presently posted as Chief Commissioner of Income Tax at Bengaluru with responsibilities for managing compliance of Tax Deduction/Collection at Source (TDS/TCS) in Karnataka and Goa region.An Engineering Graduate from IIT-BHU, Varanasi (19••••89) with Masters In Business Administration from Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta (1989-91). A trained assessor in FATF standards and Tax Administration Diagnostic Assessment Tool (TADAT).
