A continuation of the Oracle Technical specialist/Senior DBA role after the takeover of Refinitiv, working with Inter-bank trading systems (Dealing and Matching). Production & development position in which solutions were developed and delivered to production in a large, complex, business critical, 24x7 environments, that require constant monitoring and updating to ensure stability and reliability for customer facing systems. Key points of focus were quality, resilience, security, performance, efficiency, scalability, database security hardening. The behaviour of production system was also monitored to predict and circumvent potential issues. Support was also provided to development teams for QA, code, processes, and applications. Changes were delivered from development environments through QA, performance testing to the Change Board finally into production. Project management was also required. DBA 3rd level support was also provided, on occasion solutions to Sev 1 incidents were required in difficult and complex scenarios. Troubleshooting, RCA was key and once found, mitigation. Non-technical management were apprised, so that solutions could be implemented. Overall, the role required a good knowledge of Hardware, Software and Oracle HA technologies. Conducted the OCM(Oracle Cloud Monitoring) POC Necessity to stay up to date with corporate and financial compliance training. Key skills: Oracle 19c Install, Upgrade, Patch, Performance Tuning( AWR, ADDM, ASH, Oracle SPA) Backup and recovery using OEM, RMAN and ZFS. OEM 13 Install, upgrade, and patching Data extraction, ETL (export, import, data pump) Transparent Data encryption (TDE). Shell, SQL, PL/SQL scripting. Oracle RAC, ASM Oracle Dataguard, Container & pluggable databases. ZFS Exadata (X5-2, X6-2, X7-2) EM/OEM Cloud Control 13c Monitoring and upgrades, OCM, OCI Use of GIT, JIRA and SNOW
