About Sanjeev Kumar

I completed my doctoral degree from Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, in August 2013. I joined as Scientist (Agronomy), Agricultural Research Services, in Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR), New Delhi, India, during July 2012 and worked at three different institutes over the years. I handled two projects as Principal Investigator and 07 projects as Co-Principal Investigator funded by the Government of India. These all the projects were collaborative and multidisciplinary in nature. I contributed to organise the various outreach projects and programs for the development of the farming community involving the historically underrepresented community and women in agriculture apart from the services rendered in academics during various degree programs. Presently, I have been serving as regular faculty of the Agronomy Section, ICAR-National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal, since July 2017 and teaching various courses about agronomy of fodder crops, soil fertility and nutrient management, water management, farming systems, crop ecology & climate change for graduate students. I got the opportunity for mentoring 17 students in different capacities. My research primarily focused on nutrient management, organic farming, soil biology, farming system and climate change.
