ABOUT SANJEEV KUMAR
Dr. Sanjeev Kumar is Senior Research Fellow at the Indian Council of World Affairs, New Delhi. He received his Ph.D. from School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He is a recipient of the prestigious ASIA Fellows Award and conducted field research in Shaanxi, Anhui and Zhejiang provinces of China. He was affiliated with the School of International Studies, Peking University, Beijing, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), Beijing as Visiting Fellow. Dr Kumar was educated in Chinese Language from the Graduate School, CASS, Beijing. He has presented papers at national and international conferences in India and abroad. His research interests lie in the areas of China’s foreign and neighbourhood policy, India-China relations and the political economy of China’s development, including rural development. Dr. Kumar has published research papers in these areas and contributed chapters in edited volumes published in India, China and the US. Dr. Kumar has co-edited with Ambassador C. V. Ranganthan The 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China: A Major Turning Point for China (New Delhi, 2013)
