I have worked in several areas of banking including Global Markets, Corporate Banking, Transaction Banking, Risk Management, and Internal Audit. In my previous role as COO for HSBC\'s Global Markets business in Turkey I led a major transformation program to improve risk culture. Before that I had a regional role in Asia where I had responsibility for the internal audit of key businesses across 18 countries in the region. I have also worked in HSBC\'s captive offshore unit in Bangalore where I helped grow the Control Office team supporting HSBC\'s Global Markets businesses in London, Hong Kong and New York. I have served on the Board of Directors of HSBC Yatirim Menkul Degeler, a fully owned subsidiary of HSBC in Turkey. I have a professional qualification in risk management - the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) qualification offered by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). I am a member of the London chapter of MENSA.
