Entrepreneur, Rural Coverage Analyst, GeoData Analytics, Solution Architect, Student, Leader & Field Player.Since founding Integrated Digital Systems in 1992, a company specializing in Geo Spatial Analytics (GSA), I have been at the forefront of applying GIS (Geographic Information Systems) in diverse sectors. My early work involved pioneering GIS in tea plantations for enhanced yield and effective drainage management.My journey has evolved towards a deep focus on rural India. We have collaborated extensively with FMCG companies, aiding their rural coverage efforts and ensuring their brands penetrate even the most remote areas of India. Our innovative approach included mapping retail outlets at the city level using advanced algorithms for clustering and routing. In we launched the \"ruralsupermarketsofindia\" portal, a groundbreaking step in digital rural marketplaces.Significant projects in my portfolio include the Ausaid Shillong Water Supply and Sanitation Project in Meghalaya and the USAID Accelerating Sustainable Agriculture Program (ASAP) in Kabul, Afghanistan, where we developed a comprehensive Agriculture Information System. The innovative use of the technology in the AusAid project has been commented on by a leading consultancy \"as a best practice use case\". My expertise in GIS & 3D Terrain Visualization also extends to Defense and Military Intelligence. At IDS, we\'ve developed Geo-Intelligence solutions for everyday event analysis, counter-insurgency, radio intercept location mapping, air defense prioritization, and battlefield mapping including advanced training simulations and war gaming for military applications.Along with my son (co-founder & CEO) we built, optimised and scaled a $3m revenue post harvest agri supply chain (called Kisan Network (KN)) by working with 100k+ farmers at the grassroots level, and were backed by the likes of Y Combinator.Currently we have directed our expertise towards creating a social platform for rural India. At Mera Gaon (Hindi for \"My Village\"), we are building an all in one super app for rural India. This consists of a hyperlocal and private hub for villages where rural Indians can sign up for their village’s own private network and interact with each other regarding matters concerning the local community. Beyond the village, they can even address their other socio-economic needs such as to buy / sell products and services (via classifieds), create / consume videos, play rural inspired games, participate in farmer agri Q & As, talk to their Gen AI powered virtual “dost” (friend) and lots more.
