ABOUT SANJAY GURIA
I am an academician, a researcher, a designer, and an ergonomist working at the intersection of design and human well-being. As a performance apparel researcher, I evaluate functional clothing and systems that are in tune with human needs, capabilities, and behavior. My expertise includes a detailed understanding of human physiology, biomechanics, experimental designs, data analysis and interpretation, product development, and clothing construction. As a Charles Wallace scholar at Loughborough University, UK I pursued my M.Sc. in Human Factors/Ergonomics with a focus on Inclusive Design and Healthcare Ergonomics. Armed with a bachelor’s in industrial design from the National Institute of Design, India, and currently pursuing my PhD in Apparel Design from Cornell University, USA I seek opportunities that allow me to advance human performance and comfort using a research-driven design and product.
