I work closely with business which gives me a deep understanding of the business and its operational and fiscal objectives and challenges. This has helped me to bring in a lot of value propositions in transactions structuring and negotiations. I had opportunity to work on several joint ventures, business transfers, business reorganizations, business takeovers, mergers and divestments. I have been instrumental in closing long term and strategic transactions, which have long lasting impacts on the businesses-like concession agreements, farm out agreements, JVA, PPA, GTA, GSPA, BTA, MSA, EPC, IPA, product development agreements, institutional sale agreements etc.I have led, managed and or supervised both: large value/ complex/technical litigations and arbitrations as well as voluminous litigations like consumer and land related cases at all forums including High Courts and the Supreme Court. I provide day to day legal support to business in terms of interpretation of laws, regulations, contracts and contract management documents in resolving issues.I support CRG and regulatory teams in terms of taking control of all important policy related correspondences or making representations on various issues or responding to regulatory actions.I had opportunity to work in leadership role and extensively worked for bringing in a qualitative difference in the corporate governance. I consistently worked for improving and evolving codes, guidelines, policies and practices which also helped in creating and protecting reputational value of the organizations. I successfully steered the bridging of expectations gaps among various stakeholders. I led both routine/transactional secretarial practices as well as corporate actions. I assisted the Board in taking informed decisions by providing a clear legal & regulatory road map and fullest qualitative papers; be it board papers, in-house notes/opinions or external opinions or supplementary notes on strategic actions.I keep a bird’s eye view on dissemination of corporate information in the era of too much statutory and regulatory disclosures to ensure that while such disclosures serve the purpose, they should not work for cross purposes or should not conflict with each other or should not harm the organization’s interests. I firmly believe in knowledge sharing, capacity building, grooming and mentoring. I built teams from scratch, groomed them and made them to give excellent results.
