Throughout my career I\'ve strived to demonstrate consistent success transforming education, empowering teachers, and engaging parents; ultimately inspiring students to higher achievement. Each of my roles has contributed to building my skills in program assessment, data-driven decision-making, rigorous classroom instruction, and curriculum implementation. I have a proven ability to coach, evaluate, and foster teacher skill development. I believe in developing talent and possess a strong understanding of the type of academic rigor it takes to achieve effective instruction. I am often told I am compassionate, student-focused, and willing to challenge the status quo. In me, you will find a student and teacher advocate known for active listening and promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion. Selected Achievements • Improved school Performance Management Framework (PMF) score 10.3% points in 2018, then rising to 50% in 2019 by steering school to be designated as IB World School on DC Charter School Report Card. • Earned recognition as the highest open enrollment high school in Washington, DC by U.S. News and World Report for 2012-14. • Revitalized learning and engagement by launching IMPACT, a cutting-edge teacher professional development program, leading to district-wide training initiatives. • Spearheaded acquisition of major school certifications and accreditations requiring wholesale shifts in the way learning is accomplished including: 10- and 15-year Charter Renewal from PCSB, International Baccalaureate (IB) World Authorization PYP School Status for the Primary Years Programme, and PCSB school accreditation status with American Academy for Liberal Education (AALE) for two, consecutive 5-year authorization periods. 1. Senior Director District Support

   Flamboyan Foundation

   Nov 2021 — Present · Washington, DC, US

   Project Manager for the Flamboyan National Fellowship which brought together district-level teams from across the nation to engage in listening sessions with families and the community to help improve and provide REAL family engagement practices. Fellowship Teams were coached during a 24 month period in DEI work related to mindset, bias, and beliefs, design thinking, and listening efforts to create a landscape assessment of their community’s wants and needs, implementation of pilots based off of family and community listening sessions, and ultimately a 1-3 year strategic plan which is presented to an audience of funders and district-level administrators that have the ability to greenlight their plans. Liaise with 22 Graduated Partner schools formerly of the Family Engagement Partnership (FEP) to ensure that Family Engagement Leadership Teams (FELT) are supported regarding the tracking of Family Engagement Data, sharing of best practices through the participation in Professional Learning Communities, and attend trainings for family engagement practices. Co-facilitated DEI work in conjunction with an external partner, SF-CESS, in both cross affinity and in affinity spaces on a biweekly basis and during a week long Equity Pause.
