About Sanjay Kumar

I have been part of fascinating experiences over the last 30 years and gained indepth expertise especially in high rise towers.During my early days of career, i learnt how construction happens and had small glimpse of what real estate looks like. Wanting to succeed made me explore overseas markets and working in Dubai transformed me as a person as well as professional. Dubai\'s booming construction industry at world\'s fastest pace, gave me opportunity to be part of the team and very soon, leading teams and then heading operations of a large Business Unit. I surprised myself and began to see how passion when meets with opportunity can change a person into sucessful professional. I realised that in real estate, being stable in one company and completing full cycle of multiple projects is imperative as it gives a complete perspective of challenges and my being in ARABTEC for close to a decade is a testimony to the fact that if one is good, hardworking and stable, success is all but gauranteed. I was also fortunate to have great bosses who mentored me, supported me and saw me succeed. If this is what HR people call coaching, well i should say i had the best of the coaches in my life and am glad that i did not disappoint them. Leadership is another facet i discovered about myself during this phase. The experience i had with managing over 800 staff indirectly led me to believe that for a project to be successful, it is not just enough to have best of the design, finance and infrastructure, it is the ability to create a vision and lead your people to believe in it that makes its successful. Currently i am working towards translating a visionary owner\'s passion of creating world class spaces into reality and trying to translate my learning in Indian context.
