About Sanjay Jain
He is an experienced Industrial Design professional, Design Team leader in various industries including Wipro Lighting, Bajaj Electricals for around 19 years. He has been the Founder Director, Academics of MIT Institute of Design, Pune and Avantika University. Academic and Professional mentor for 1500 plus design students, who have been contributing to industry and society as brilliant professionals and thought-leaders. He has completed 19 years in academics. His bucket list includes talking to one of his ex-students every week for a couple of hours. He believes that this is the smartest way to upskill oneself and keep learning. He has facilitated learning in Emotional Design, Strategic Design for Business, Nature-Inspired Design, Material Culture and manufacturing processes, Emerging technologies, Food for Soul, Critical and Creative Thinking, System Design, etc. He has a strong education legacy with a Master of Design in Industrial Design from School of Design, Industrial Design Center, and Bachelor of Technology from IIT Bombay.He won the Gandhian Young Technology Innovation National Award in 2015 along with his two design students as faculty mentor, who have designed a smart device to help deaf dancers.
