ABOUT SANJAY CHANDLEKAR
Ph.D. in Computer Science | Hyderabad Deep Learning & Reinforcement Learning | Financial Fraud Detection | 2× PowerTAC ChampionI’m an AI researcher and engineer passionate about applying deep learning and reinforcement learning to solve real-world problems across domains like finance, energy, and life sciences. Currently at J.P. Morgan Chase, I develop AI models for financial fraud detection, leveraging deep neural architectures and representation learning to improve security and trust in financial systems.Previously, I was a Data Scientist at Aragen Digital X, where I applied Graph Neural Networks, Transformers, and MCTS to accelerate drug discovery and retrosynthesis. Before that, at TCS Research, I designed VidyutVanika, an autonomous agent that won the international PowerTAC Smart Grid Tournament twice (2021 & 2022)—a milestone in AI-driven energy markets.I hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Hyderabad, with six A* publications (IJCAI, AAMAS) exploring AI for smart grids, game-theoretic auction design, and demand response. Alongside research, I’ve mentored professionals in ML, DL, and GenAI through TalentSprint and enjoy bridging the gap between theory and impactful AI systems.
