Designed and developed scalable Spring Boot–based microservices by following Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices. Used JUnit and Mockito for unit testing, Cucumber for writing business-readable BDD scenarios, Embedded Kafka for validating event-driven flows, and WireMock to mock external service dependencies. This ensured high test coverage, early defect detection, and reliable integration across services. Both BDD and TDD approaches, using Cucumber, embedded kafka and Wiremock.• Designed and implemented a trade reconciliation workflow to validate trade records and generate Acknowledgement (ACK) and Negative Acknowledgement (NACK) messages based on business rules. Successfully published these acknowledgements to downstream systems using an event-driven approach, enabling accurate trade status tracking, error handling, and faster reconciliation across distributed services.• Developed batch processing jobs to efficiently update and synchronize large volumes of data into Elasticsearch indices. These batch jobs improved data consistency, optimized search performance, and enabled near-real-time analytics by handling bulk updates with fault tolerance and minimal impact on live systems.
