Analytical method development, validation, and transfer within Nanocore Facility to meet various FDA research goals and mission to protect public health. I handle the design and execution of projects at Nanocore which are related to mass spectrometry, fractionation, and light scattering techniques. Provide guidance, technical expertise, training, and collaborative support to FDA Staff. Maintenance and troubleshooting of LC-MS/MS and ICP-MS systems. US SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT on manufactured nanomaterials for the FDA Nanotechnology Standards Sub-Committee, CDER Nanotechnology Reviewer’s Network member, and ASTM 56.08 Subcommittee.DEVELOP ANALYTICAL METHODOLOGIES AND PROTOCOLS for characterization and risk assessment of complex drug products and environmental samples containing nanomaterials. DEVELOP AND STANDARDIZE ADVANCED CHARACTERIZATION METHODS to study critical quality attributes in new and generic liposomal drugs in compliance with ICH guidelines to assess batch-to-batch consistency and facilitate regulatory review and market entry of safe and effective medical products containing nanomaterials. Identify and develop consensus standards involving international regulators, industry stakeholders, and standards development organizations.PERFORM APPLICATION-DRIVEN METHOD DEVELOPMENT and advancing the use of mass spectrometry in the detection and quantitation of drug components, biomolecules, emerging contaminants, and nanomaterial-enabled drugs in diverse matrices.
